This was my first time seeing the Great Potoo. While they look like owls, they are not. Like owls, they are nocturnal - so during the day they stand very still at the top of limb and basically look just like part of the tree. They are very hard to find and to see one with a chick was very special. I took this shot in Costa Rica near Sarapiqui.
