I captured this shy Montezuma Quail after waiting patiently all morning for it to appear, foraging for food amongst the fallen leaves. I love it's intricate, speckled plumage and how it contrasts with its surroundings. This photo was taken in Cave Creek Canyon, Arizona, U.S.A
